BYRD
Byrd is a freelance muralist and sculptor, a Canberra mural artist. Starting out working in public spaces over 25 years ago, he balances his time between commissioned works, public gifts and his studio/exhibition practice.
Over this time Byrd has gained experience in most aspects of this scene. From art consultation, conceptual development, project management, planning and approvals, to final installation; always bespoke and customisable.
Byrd has worked for Canberra clients and projects such as The National Portrait Gallery in Canberra and ACT Health.
Byrd's work is held in the collections of The National Gallery of Australia and the Canberra Museum and Gallery to name a few.

HAPPY DECAY
HAPPY DECAY is a regional mural artist though Canberra is the closest city and has painted a lot of murals around the Canberra region.

Community Mural Workshop in Canberra
As a community mural artist, I also ran a mural workshop where members of the community were able to participate in painting sections of the mural. For a part of the day, people who had registered to participate came and helped paint sections of the mural that had been prepared and colour coded. Partiptaints included children through to adults and was enjoyed by all. Everyone got to experience painting a mural at the Canberra Centre.
