I began my mural journey by painting residential projects for friends and family, exploring various mediums along the way, from clothing and jewellery design to shoes. Drawing has always been a passion, and I often created family portraits as gifts. My inspiration comes from nature, organic forms, and the connections we share with the world around us.
My background studies in architecture, with a strong focus on design and art history, have had a major influence on my approach to murals. I feel that my education and professional experience allow me to see spaces holistically, designing murals that enhance and connect different elements in a way that is both meaningful and cohesive. For my graduation project, I chose mural art, inspired by the vibrant graffiti culture in my city, and created a piece reflecting on our relationship with the body in urban spaces.
About five years ago, I started reaching out to schools my children attended and local restaurants to offer mural art for free. As word spread, I began receiving commissions, which helped me build a portfolio I’m proud of. Each project has allowed me to refine my skills and further explore how nature, organic forms, and connections can bring unity and character to a space. I’m excited to continue creating work that resonates deeply with both people and the environments they inhabit.
Favourite types of mural projects
I love painting themes that center on fauna, flora, family connections, and reflections on society and meaningful concepts. My work is deeply inspired by nature and organic forms, as well as the connections between people and their environment. I always approach each mural as a journey to uncover what is meaningful for that specific project. I take time to understand what matters most to a family, the unique vibe of a restaurant, or the core values of a school. This allows me to create a mural that reflects the essence of the space and resonates with the people who experience it. My aim is to design art that feels truly connected to its surroundings, bringing depth and authenticity to every project.
