Simon Beuve is a French-Australian artist born in Normandy, whose artistic journey began in 2000 when he discovered the graffiti movement. Drawn to the dynamic urban art scene, he relocated to Paris to immerse himself in France’s leading street art culture. Now based in Melbourne, Simon creates striking murals, paintings, collages, and assemblages that blend his gestural and abstract aesthetic with reflections on city life and its impact on society.
Simon’s work is deeply inspired by the overlooked details of everyday environments—ephemeral marks and layers often dismissed as mistakes. For Simon, these unintentional traces are imbued with emotion and energy, forming the foundation of his artistic expression. He translates these fleeting moments into visually compelling works that capture the raw essence of urban life.
Simon has exhibited in solo and group shows, street art festivals, and publications worldwide. In 2015, he held his first solo exhibition in Melbourne and has since dedicated much of his time to refining his studio practice, exploring both the aesthetic and conceptual dimensions of his work.
Passionate about self-expression, Simon actively shares his creative journey through workshops, collaborations, and mentorships, inspiring others to embrace their artistic potential while continuing to evolve his own practice.
I love to paint abstract murals that play with their environment, for example, in a garden, the composition will feel calm and floral. In a gym, where the design will be dynamic and with rhythmic lines, any project is exciting and I love to be challenged.
