Melbourne Mural Artist
After uni I frequently exhibited in galleries around Melbourne, while I also painted for a commercial mural/sign writing company for four years. This is where I got a lot of training in the craft. After working with them I started to train myself in spray paint and now use either acrylic house paint or spray paint depending on the specifics of the job. I've been a full time muralist for about five years, while I also do some illustration and smaller canvas commissions on the side. I've done walls for small businesses, private commissions, chains, brands and councils.
Over the years I've painted in numerous street art festivals across Australia, and one in Germany, while exhibiting in many galleries in Melbourne, interstate and internationally.
I have a high risk licence so I can operate a scissor lift and a boom lift, and I have public liability insurance.
I'd love to have a chat about your project and create a mural you love!
Favourite Type of Mural Projects
The things I'm best at painting are stylised female characters and animals, especially where they are the main feature. My style is quite bold and minimal, with a focus on colour composition. There is some inspiration from anime and digital illustration, and my girls are often strong but gentle. I am happy to paint portraits and animals of any kind though. After my four years of training with the mural company, I'm capable of painting realism and pretty much any image you give me. If you want a photo painted no problem.
Mural Projects
Roll'd - I painted for Roll'd at five different locations around Melbourne. I enjoyed the work because the main feature was a woman, and the surrounding was decorated with simple complimentary flora
Swinburne Uni - This was a fun wall I painted 4 stories high, with the main character being a space Kangaroo to represent their prestigious space department
Head Tennis - I worked for Head Tennis twice. Once with a public mural of Coco Gauff, and later some live painted customised tennis bags at their event
Melbourne City Council - I was involved with their Flash Forward project and completed a 20 metre mural, expressing my experience through Covid
I've exhibited my paintings at numerous galleries around Melbourne, my favourite being Outre gallery.
