Canberra Muralist
byrd is a freelance muralist and sculptor. Starting out working in public spaces over 25 years ago, he balances his time between commissioned works, public gifts and his studio/exhibition practice.
Over this time byrd has gained experience in most aspects of this scene. From art consultation, conceptual development, project management, planning, and approvals, to final installation; always bespoke and customisable.
I enjoy challenging architecture and amplifying the psychogeography of space. I draw from my ongoing studio research for what I paint so that how it lands in a space makes it a better place.
byrd has a working from heights, elevated working platform, white card, and Asbestos certificates alongside Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance.
